Author Responsibilities

Submit the manuscript via e-mail directly to the Technical Editor at the address listed below. If a TeX file is sent, the corresponding PDF file must also be attached. The manuscript must be accompanied by a statement that it has not been published elsewhere (except an ISOPE conference or symposium proceedings) nor submitted for publication elsewhere. The authors will be asked to sign a statement transferring copyright to the ISOPE. Download the journal template (WORD and LaTeX) from http://www.isope.org/publications/publications.htm.

The title page must contain the names of all authors, their institutional affiliations and city/country.  IJOPE discourages promotion of commercial products/software and limits the number of mentions by name within papers. If a paper exceeds 7 typeset Journal pages, the authors will be invoiced a mandatory excess-page charge of $200 per page for each Journal page above 7.

Technical Editor: editor@isope.org or jschung@isope.org, ISOPE, P.O. Box 189, Cupertino, California 95015-0189 USA. Include full author affiliations, mailing addresses, telephone and FAX numbers, and e-mail addresses. All questions on policy and procedures of IJOPE should be directed to the editors.

Peer-Review Process

All papers submitted for journal consideration undergo rigorous peer-review, with a minimum of 3 reviews by experts in the respective fields of the papers. Reviewers remain anonymous to the authors of the papers. Reviewers must not have direct professional connections to the authors of the papers they are reviewing. Reviews by graduate students are not allowed.

Reviewers are asked to declare that they have no financial connection or stake in the manuscript, including personal collaboration in this project.

Publication Ethics

The author acknowledges the manuscript has not been submitted elsewhere and has not been previously published. English editing by the authors may be requested. Withdrawal and publication elsewhere of the peer-reviewed MS after the reviews are completed can result in sanctions for a limited period of time. In certain cases when the editors and multiple reviewers deem a paper acceptable for publication but one reviewer still has technical questions, the Technical Editor may decide to publish both the paper and a separate formal Discussion, which contains the reviewers comments and the authors response to the comments.

Copyright, Access and Archiving

Download the ISOPE copyright form from www.isope.org. Copyright is transferred to ISOPE before manuscript review process begins.
